Saturday, May 31st, 2014. Ben
celebrated his birthday, first with a family cookout, then with a trip to see
the X-Men on his actual birthday, then with a Hunger Games party at our cabin,
followed by a sleepover with buddies.
Regular Season and
Thursday, May 22nd, 2014. Ben's soccer team
finished their season 4-1-1. He really enjoyed playing for Frank and
playing with the members on his team. Soccer has kept him very busy, who
know what he will do with his time now. Jackson has been running with the
high school cross country team. He has ran 12 miles over the last three
days with plans to run 6 days a week throughout the summer. Amy and I are
very proud of both boys.
Earlier in the month, Amy and I visited Blacksburg to celebrate our friend Monica's 40th birthday, I spent a week working in Dalton, GA and Jackson celebrated his 14th birthday. While in Georgia, I drove up to spend an evening on the Ocoee.
For six straight weekends I worked on building a chicken coop in the backyard. My idea was to re-purpose our old swing-set. That project is now complete and we are really pleased with how it turned out.
